The principles of force-field analysis
When you want to identify the forces that influence a decision or a situation, conduct a force-field analysis. Especially when you want to determine the biggest influence(er) and whom to involve at an early stage, in order to achieve your goals.
How? Follow these 8 steps
Step 1: Make a list of all forces, directly, and indirectly involved.
Step 2: Identify each forces attitude towards the situation. Is it positive or negative?
Step 3: Color code each attitude Positive = green Negative = red Neutral = light blue Unknown = dark blue
Step 4: Identify and list the forces involved, how they relate and how they are related to the situation.
