Reduce unhealthy stress
Without stress, we wouldn't have survived prehistoric times. Because without stress, we would not be alerted to danger. Even now, stress enables us to work under pressure, deliver a good performance, respond quickly to any danger, and make decisions. But too much stress is unhealthy. In this course you'll learn how to recognize stress and stress signals and how you can decrease unhealthy stress, for example through mindfulness, meditation, and other relaxation techniques.
Those who suffer from stress often insist the cause lies somewhere outside themselves. "I'm so busy, I have to do everything at home on my own, then there's the kids' busy schedules, and I have to look after my mother too." Whoa, wait a minute! Stress is not a "thing" that's introduced into your life just like that. You are the one who can control your own emotional burden – what you feel and how you think. In this stress management course we take you step by step, exploring the things you can do to reduce stress levels to an acceptable, manageable level. A level that suits you in your particular situation.
