Cor Vink to bolster New Heroes.com board as strategy advisor
Den Bosch, March 30 2017 – New Heroes.com, the world’s largest online training specialist in personal empowerment, communication and management skills today announces that it is taking a significant step forward in bolstering its board of directors. As of April 1st, the New Heroes board is welcoming Cor Vink to serve as its strategy advisor. The addition of Vink places the New Heroes executive team, which includes Jan Schouten (Chairman), Vera van Beek and Jorn van Wijk, in robust condition.
Education and training heavyweight
It’s no surprise that the New Heroes executive team is welcoming an industry heavyweight like Cor Vink as its latest member. With over 20 years of experience in leading large educational and training organisations in the Netherlands, the UK, the US and Australia, he has an impressive career in the industry.
In his most recent role, Vink served as COO at NCOI, one of the largest adult educational and corporate training organisations in the Netherlands. Prior to that he held numerous executive management roles both at home and abroad in organisations including Thompson Learning, Ashworth University, NTI and Schouten Global.
According to New Heroes CEO Jorn van Wijk, “No one knows the industry like Cor. He’s built years of experience in online learning and e-tooling in many different organisations across education. Cor sees exactly where strategy, customer-focus and revenue-generation, or rather, profitability, come together.” Van Wijk goes on to add, “We’re counting on Cor in providing the board with new, refreshing insights. That’s why we’re so excited about his new, strategic role in the company.”
The recent launch of its international platform has meant a significant step forward for New Heroes.com, but one not without its share of challenges. In his previous roles, Vink had specifically focused on international expansion and increasing profitability for educational organizations. As Van Wijk explains, “Cor is perfectly suited to support us in excellerating and achieving our ambitious goals. We’re growing fast and have big plans for the future. That means the time is ripe to seek reinforcement that will help us effectively zero in on how to achieve our domestic and international goals.”
Flexible and innovative online training courses
New Heroes.com was launched a year ago. Jan Schouten, founder of Dutch corporate training giant Schouten & Nelissen, set up the initiative together with Jorn van Wijk. The disruptive company offers flexible and innovative online soft skill and management training courses, giving subscribers access to over 70 online courses. New Heroes customer base includes not just individual subscribers, but also an increasing number of organizations, from small businesses to large multinationals. As CEO Jorn van Wijk puts it, “The growth we’ve seen so far is just a bare hint of what’s to come. Cor Vink is the right candidate to help us hit our stride going forward.”
